Project Delayed

How many times have you read about the Del Mar Planning Department and their various hearings and approval formats? Let's just say that Del Mar is back-logged with new construction and remodel submissions, including our DRB submission for the Ugly Brown Box. We're on the calendar for June 26th, finally, and until we receive approval during Del Mar's formal DRB hearing on the 22nd, we are delayed.

Our General Contractor is delayed.

Our schedule is delayed.

And so we continue to wait. It's an unfortunate reality whenever you're Extreme Remodeling in a highly restricted community like Del Mar. Many days I wish Del Mar was more like Waco Texas where HGTV's Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper get right to "Demo Day" the moment escrow is closed.

We wait and hope that DRB grant's approval for the Ugly Brown Box to finally get it's makeover to an Ocean View Contemporary.
